Royal Club

Initially imported from the United Kingdom, Royal Club has been in The Netherlands since 1881.  The brand owners Josiah Russell & Co from London opened a Dutch branch in Rotterdam in 1887. In 1939, the management of this branch was taken over by the Tims family, who officially took control of the company in 1949.

In 1969, the Tims family sold their company to Vrumona, who had been co-producing Royal Club since 1963. Respecting the brand’s traditions, Vrumona continued producing and selling Royal Club. The brand has ever since been home to both traditional British flavours such as Tonic and Ginger Ale, as well as typical Dutch flavours such as Orange and Cassis.

Bitter Lemon

Bitter Lemon

The origins of Bitter Lemon go way back to the first quarter of the 19th century when, by chance, Soda Water was mixed with fresh lemon juice. The intense bitter-sweet tones of Bitter Lemon because of the citrus and a touch of Quinine, are pure genius. This distinctive taste makes it perfect both as a thirst quencher or as a mix with classic liquors like Vodka and Gin.

Ginger Ale

Ginger Ale

The golden-brown colour, its distinguished flavour and the invigorating effect of the drink is enough to make Ginger Ale one of the most stylish and refreshing soft drinks in the world. Also combined with the sweet-sour excitement of Whisky - today Whisky Ginger Ale is one of the most stylish and refreshing soft drinks that exists.

Tonic

Tonic

This refreshing drink was already being enjoyed in Colonial Days in the tropics, with a dash of Gin. In those days, there was quite a high Quinine content in the Tonic, which had an alternative medicinal role, helping to prevent Malaria. Quinine also gives Tonic its unique flavour. So you can enjoy it in any mix, cocktail or on its own with a few chunks of ice.

Soda Water

The great-grandfather of soft drinks is undoubtedly Soda water. Ever since the good old days, people have been enjoying the pleasant sensation of small bubbles in the mouth balanced by the light sour taste caused by dissolved carbon dioxide. These are still the hallmarks of a great soft drink.
